The hearts and souls of our brothers and sisters are suffering pain. Decades of subtle and overt racism have reached an intolerable level. Police brutality, profiling of minorities, unequal justice on all fronts.
This is a time to remember that every person starts as as child of God and is shaped by their environment and experiences. Our goal is not to judge but to provide prayer, love, and support wherever possible. May God walk with each of us as we search our hearts and minds to reflect on our own bias and actions.
As the world grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, events are being postponed, rescheduled, and cancelled. The United Methodist Women are committed to the safety of all the members and ask you to check out the calendar of events on this site for changes and information.
Prayers are requested for all UMW members, local, national and international. It is indeed a world in crisis and this is a time to hold others up for God's attention and care.
We look forward to when we can be together again safely face-to-face. In the meantime, stay sheltered and be well.
